No Snow Required!

Nordic Walking can be done by anybody, anywhere.  It combines the simplicity and accessibility of walking with simultaneous core and upper body conditioning similar to Nordic skiing.

Originating in Finland in the 1930s as a summer training exercise for Nordic skiers, Nordic Walking is now enjoyed throughout the year and around the world - no snow required!

The basic technique involves active walking with poles to propel the walker along. More advanced techniques include various running styles, skipping and skating.

For a great illustration of the technique, see this short film Nordic Walking Vidio - la tecnica di Pino Dellasega
