This is a rich landscape steeped in history including the prehistoric Ridgeway, a Roman Temple, a Saxon Battle, ‘Lowbury Man’ and a mediaeval rabbit warren! The chalk hills here are also home to hares, skylarks, yellowhammers, and curlew, and in spring/summer are adorned with wildflowers and butterflies.
